The 2446C is the second generation manual-wind Autavia. It’s a handsome tool chronograph with a simple and rugged look. It has a beefy 40mm case with attractive beveled lugs and a bidirectional rotating bezel. A few weeks ago, in our Vintage Journal I mentioned the 6263 vs 6265 conundrum. For the screw-down pusher variety, my vote goes to the ref. 6265 with the steel bezel and black dial combination, just like the one we had offered at the Shop.
When it is all said and done, pretty much any vintage Rolex Daytona ref. 6263 is a joy to wear and own, regardless of the dial variant. While they may differ in value, each one has its own character and appeal, and all of them rank among the most desirable vintage Rolex timepieces in the world.
