But if your advice is truly targeted at vintage Omega watches, the problem is there is no established market. And there are a huge (and growing) number of Frankenwatches out there. And the cost of a full service is from 20% to 50% of the value.Most people, myself included take the watch to be serviced to an AD so it can be sent to the Omega service center. Some ADs have a certified Omega watchmaker that can do the service which is nice because it’s usually a faster turnaround. IIRC Omega warranties the service for 2 . I find the "service" threads for vintage Omega that I've read so far, most disturbing. I have a couple of Speedmasters: late 60's and early 70's that I would love to bring back to life. I've been reading before I start a post in the vintage thread asking a bunch of questions.
