She didn't want to hurt Ryuu Lion and the other girls of the Hostess of Fertility. In DanMachi Volume 17. She didn't want to keep re charming. Cautious and distrustful. That's exactly how you're supposed to feel about Hermes, conflicted. An incredibly likable person who does heinous things to the point even Bell can't forgive him. He's a likeable asshole. He's a total dick, but he is the kind you'd totally want to go have a beer with at the end of the day. What he did in LN 11, was for the better. If Bell became hated by the people and loved by the monsters Bell would not be able to do what he should. What Hermes did was a shitty thing but now Bell is Hero of monsters and people, so it turned out for the better. Bell needs to be the Hero that's his task he needs to save the world from the OEBD. Hermes did say something along those lines at the end of season1 episode 12 after Bell won. So it makes me think that Bell is related to Zues somehow. Just my opinion nothing more.
