I was discussing Rolex watches with a brother collector yesterday. He commented that there has been a chronic problem associated with erratic date change function on the newest calibers of Rolex watches. Anybody have anything to report?

This clicks partially over at midnight and then clicks the rest of the way at 4am. It is not a gradual change . I'm a newbie on Rolex, but I noticed my PAM power reserve also have this problem. It didn't go away after 2 years though, date still got stuck between 1155pm and only jump after 0245am. Clicked but the date didn't move forward. I then set the crown to the date change and moved it forward one day and the date wheel is now stuck between numbers. Can I fix this myself or off to the watchmaker?
