This is the 50th anniversary Rolex Submariner Ref 16610LV. Or Rolex Kermit for short. It’s not super well-known to the general public. At least not compared to the Rolex Hulk. Still, it’s a very cool watch with an interesting backstory behind it.

Find a Rolex Serial Number. The first known examples for the "anniversary" Submariners have a serial number starting with Y94XXXX, corresponding to a production that we locate around September 2003.

This timepiece is a Z serial that dates the watch to 2006-2007. The Rolex Submariner Date "Kermit" (16610LV) features a 40mm steel case paired with a rare "flat 4" green aluminum rotatable bezel, graduated up to a 60-minute scale. Its black dial is equipped with luminescent hour markers and hands, providing optimal readability in various lighting. Submariner 16610LV watches made from around 2007 onwards have rehauts (the inner flange or space between the dial and crystal) engraved with not only “ROLEX ROLEX ROLEX” but also the serial number at the 6 o’clock position.
