Does this hurt the watch, cause long term damage or make the watch loose time during the day? The hack lever issue is worth a try with a halted 289X movement. If it works and it does restart with a few tries of engage/disengage, then you have a diagnosis. You still have to go in and replace the hack lever because the watch will continue to stop at random, but you at least know what the problem is.
