Quick update, Had the watch inspected by an independent watchmaker with plenty of rolex experience today. Best he can tell, it's a service dial, definitely hasn't been relumed. Bezel has also likely been replaced and watch is keeping excellent time. Your 16610 has those big gorgeous lume plots just like the 124060. So it's actually not redundancy- it's avoiding a step down. You should go for the 124060. Trust me on this one. I love my 5513 . The superluminova in the 16610 isn't bad as such but it doesn't hold a candle to the chromalite in the new watches, which is far brighter and longer lasting. Rolex wouldn't consider your lume to be broken so they wouldn't "fix" it without you asking and even then they wouldn't repaint it and I don't think the new dials fit the old watches.
